Torque Strength & Conditioning will close our facility November 21st. We “Respectfully,” disagree with these restrictions, health clubs are not the issue. The are compelling, reclosing fitness center can only hurt hundreds of thousands of Minnesotans. MN gyms 0.003% COVID rate. Bars and restaurants cases are sitting at 2%. The Mall of America can hold 60k people + 13k employees on Black Friday and will stay open (I can’t find data for retail in MN). What qualifies as high-risk?
As you know 2020 has been a year full of unknowns and change. Like many businesses in Minnesota, we took a huge hit financially, but thanks to amazing culture and tribe, our doors are still open. We have spent almost 7 years building a business of elite coaches, beautifully equipped facility, and an culture like no other gym I have seen. With our amazing community that has had our back from the beginning.
Thank you to our astonishing staff here at Torque; without you, your loyalty and continued drive to perfect your craft, our gym would not be what it is today. Thank you to all of our athletes who have reached out a helping hand and who continue to show me what our culture here at Torque is built upon. Myself and our staff cannot say enough to thank you.
As an owner and coach for over almost 13 years now I am blessed by my staff and members at Torque Strength & Conditioning. This place truly is what I live for and words cannot express how grateful I am to have built this place WITH ALL OF YOU
Accounts and Sales
Torque Strength & Conditioning is a small business and the financial security to pay our overhead to ensure we are around in the spring. The first lockdown hurt us just like many businesses in Minnesota. Another lockdown like this could put ourselves and many others officially out of business. Many of our staff rely upon being able to run training sessions and coaching our athletes to pay their bills. This lockdown will be immensely impacted financially on our business moving forward. When there is no room for growth in a business, it dies, it’s that simple. This lockdown we do not have stimulus packages, we cannot draw unemployment either. As a community, we are alone in this situation.
We humbly ask during this time to keep your memberships and packages active if that is possible for you. At this time, we will not be honoring pauses to memberships. We will continue our regular cancellation policies. We sincerely and greatly appreciate your understanding as we work to keep our business afloat during these unknown times.
What can you do to help? Contact your State Representatives and Governor!
The dark and cold season combined with gyms and fitness centers being mandated to close AGAIN is really, scary. Gyms are ESSENTIAL for mental and physical health. People working in the gym and fitness industry have dedicated their life to keeping friends, family, and strangers safe and healthy, and I know firsthand they've worked around the clock to keep us safe.
If you agree, I invite you to respectfully share your sentiments with Governor Walz’ office by:
✔️Emailing Governor Walz at Gov.contact@state.mn.us or call 651-201-3400
✔️Emailing State Commissioner Tarek Tomes at tarek.tomes@state.mn.us
✔️Tweet Governor Walz @GovTimWalz
